Stocked up the boat at Yeppoon and caught the ferry back to G.K.I. as Yabbie and Craig needed to stay an extra day and I was unsure of leaving "Zen" unattended for too long. My fears were well founded as I chatted to the guys on the ferry and they informed me that my dinghy had come undone and was found on the beach, luckily complete with motor and fuel tank. Investigation later showed that the painter had worn through on a sharp edge on the tie off point on the dinghy. Was good to get back on board with a good supply of food as shops between here and Airlie are a bit hard to find. Prepared for departure on the next day toward Cape Manifold.
"Zenataos" previously "Wired" a John Hitch 15 metre Catamaran was rebuilt after a fire destroyed the port hull while she was at anchor at Burrum Heads. The remains, stbd hull, mast , rigging and sails were salvaged by me and towed to Maryborough and lifted on to the hard and then rebuilt over the next two years to emerge as a bridgedeck catamaran.
