Left G.K.I. just after 08.00 hrs toward Cape Manifold. Wind was light and boat speed was 5knots +. An uneventful passage ensued with a decision to anchor at Freshwater Bay for a bit more protection if the wind developed. Anchored in 3 metres of water. The beach was uninviting and so stayed on board and didn't launch the dinghy. A strong wind warning was posted so decided to depart in the morning toward Island Head Creek. Sailing in company with Ian from Mary Mathieson Robert off Argo and Chinook and Sancerre.
"Zenataos" previously "Wired" a John Hitch 15 metre Catamaran was rebuilt after a fire destroyed the port hull while she was at anchor at Burrum Heads. The remains, stbd hull, mast , rigging and sails were salvaged by me and towed to Maryborough and lifted on to the hard and then rebuilt over the next two years to emerge as a bridgedeck catamaran.
