Bought another outboard motor today from Cash Converters. It's an 8hp Yamaha 2 stroke motor and pushes the larger of our two inflatables quite well. I had to try and get on a bus to get it home and the first bus driver said motors weren't allowed on the buses. Another bus came by a few minutes later as I was trying to hitch hike. The bus driver let me on board after I assured him that there was no petrol in the motor. I still had to carry the damn thing all the way down Edward street. After making a few modifications to it I started it up and it goes quite well.
Meanwhile the girls were busy sanding the cockpit floors and putting on two coats of non skid.
The new self steering system is in the air on its way to Oz and I have high hopes of being away on Tuesday or Wednesday. Tomorrow we will buy the tins and packets of groceries that we need for the trip and store them so that they can be found again.
We received about 5 boxes of books from a school library and will give them to the villagers of Gigila and Budi Budi.
No joy as yet with the navigation systems but I will solve the problem tomorrow.
