Away at daybreak with a brisk breeze. I am still reluctant to set too much sail so with only half headsails set off for Airlie with following seas. Did some hand steering when boatspeed reached 11 to 12 knots but mostly the self steering coped quite well. I never went below 7 knots and touched 13 knots a bfew times. Not bad for an overloaded Cat under reduced sail with little or no stress on the rig , beams or skipper. Arrived at Airlie just after 10.00 hrs. The place is full, yachts as far as you can see but was able to get a space in Muddy Bay and so this part of the trip is over.....stay tuned.
"Zenataos" previously "Wired" a John Hitch 15 metre Catamaran was rebuilt after a fire destroyed the port hull while she was at anchor at Burrum Heads. The remains, stbd hull, mast , rigging and sails were salvaged by me and towed to Maryborough and lifted on to the hard and then rebuilt over the next two years to emerge as a bridgedeck catamaran.
