day2 Saturday 12th june

Making very slow progress up coast Most of the self steering has problems due to the loading up of the rudders. No answers at the moment. As we came abeam of Caloundra the course was lost and we swung about 180 degrees and tried to "T" bone the Pacific Dawn which had just passed astern of us. In the effort to regain our course the Port tiller arm was broken off. The girls were forced to hand steer from the starboard side as I effected a repair and got us underway again.

We reinstalled the self steeering but all of the mountings are showing signs of the effort needed to push the tiller arms
